About Me
Optical expert by profession. iOS developer by curiosity.
I'm Brent McCardle, a Master Optician with 40 years in the optical industry and more than a decade with ZEISS, where I work in technical education. I help eye care professionals turn complex lens technologies into practical knowledge, and I contribute to ISO and ASC Z80 ophthalmic standards committees.
Outside of optics, I'm a hobbyist iOS developer and creative hacker. I enjoy learning SwiftUI, experimenting with ideas, and creating useful and entertaining apps—from optical tools to puzzles and TV tracking.
